CIRCOPAV at European Researchers Night in Granada

The DCs corresponding to the Universidad de Granada, alongside their fellows from LabIC.UGR, attended the European Researchers Night held on the 27th of October in Granada. They had the opportunity to show the people of Granada their research and to inspire future generations of children with their work.

The activities undertaken were as follows:

Walter Mera held a workshop where he explained the components and the creation of cold asphalt mixture and how this research was part of his project to develop an asphalt that would mitigate the urban heat island effect.

Karolina Wolukanis showed the capabilities of her sensor by using an RC Car to take measurements of the pavement in the area and then showed the data in real time. This data will be key in avoiding potential fissures or bumps in the pavement.
